We need to move within our apartment complex. Four people showed up to move us and they we're prepared.
They ran out of packing material and just put our belongings on top of each other. They destroyed my wife's curio cabinet. They dropped it and shattered the mirror and broke the wood on one side. I also found my TV cord broken and stuffed it a basket.
They were very careless and I'm extremely grateful that it was a very short move. I believe much more damage to our belongings would have happened.
They also kept delaying moving our things into our place. I heard them talking about needing to get 10 hrs of work in. Guess how long it took them to complete the job..10 hrs and our cost went over the quote by $232.

The service I recently received from Xpress Movers, on a move from Cambridge, Mass., to Tarrytown, NY, was exceptional—the best I’ve ever received on my various moves around the country.  Rafael, my driver/supervisor, arrived punctually with his team.  He made sure that each piece of family furniture was meticulously wrapped and carefully carted onto the truck.  His three assistants were well-trained, polite, and hard-working.  The team took apart, and wrapped in pads, furniture that previous movers had simply loaded, unwrapped, into the truck.  Despite sweltering Boston-summer conditions, this team worked conscientiously and cheerfully until the job was complete.
      Rafael drove the truck away at 6:00 p.m.  The next day, at 10:00, he appeared at my new home in Tarrytown.  He had just one assistant for the load-off job; on another hot and humid day, the two of them efficiently unloaded the truck and made sure that items were placed where I wished them to be.  When we noticed that we were missing one obscure piece of bed hardware, Rafael and his assistant went to a local hardware store, found a suitable replacement part, and, upon returning to my apartment, re-assembled the bed. 
      Rafael and his fellow staff members simply took more care of my stuff than any other movers had in the past.  He was wholly committed to my satisfaction.  These guys were pros; I recommend them most highly.      .

I used Xpress Movers to move from my apartment to my house few days ago. The move was within West Roxbury, but regardless of the short distance, the guys did an amazing job. From the first call I got from them, until the job was completed everything went smooth. I even asked them to do a stop in Newton to drop off few items at a different residence, and they did it without any complaints. I am very pleased with the service, I received, and will definitely use them again. Thank you all at Xpress Movers for the outstanding job you did for me!

Moving is stressful. I just finished unpacking. And I wanted to take the time to comment on the great job Xpress movers did in moving my things. All of my things were delivered on time and in order. In fact, even the pickup went without incident. I had all my stuff packed up and ready to move. The guys were a pleasure to work with: courteous and hard working. The office gave me an estimate and kept to it. It was important to me that the terms were clear and that they communicated with me. They were helpful and willing to work with me to make my moving to Boston less stressful. I would definitely recommend them.

When we found out that my dad was terminally ill, we decided to leave a five bedroom home in Marietta GA to be in Florida with my mom who has Alzheimer's. While with a shared move, the dates cannot be guaranteed until shortly before, Xpress Movers understood the critical timeframes and worked diligently to meet the date we needed. My husband was traveling up until the day before and they were great with communicating. Our items were delivered just when expected to a storage unit in Florida. The movers were courteous and professional. I highly recommend them.

My overall moving experience with this company was severely and negatively impacted by their lack of transparency around hidden/extra fees - despite my repeated inquires into total costs when booking and confirming. It was not until the day of my move (which I think was intentional so that I had no real choice) that I was made aware of their "Stair and Long Carry" fee. Despite the fact that I had told the company at the time of booking and confirming that I lived in a 4th floor walk-up with no elevator, they never once told me that there would be an additional cost for stairs - let alone an exorbitant per flight charge that would equate to nearly half the cost of the total quote. Once my movers arrived, they immediately let me know that "the first flight is free and every flight beyond that carries an additional charge" and that they "consider a flight to be 7 steps." As such, despite the fact that I lived on the 4th floor, they told me I lived "7.4 flights" up. Not only had this charge never been conveyed to me in the booking/contracting phase, but I also found the fact that they consider a flight to be only 7 steps rather ridiculous. It was clearly a ploy for them to get as much as possible out of their hidden fee when I had no recourse. I would not have chosen this company had I known about this fee from the beginning.

After some back and forth where I inquired as to why I was hearing about this for the first time on the day of the move, I was able to negotiate the original quoted amount down. However, I was told that I needed to pay the extra charge or they wouldn't do my move. Given that I had to be out of my apartment that day, my hands were tied and I didn't have another choice. While I appreciate that the moving men mentioned this at the beginning of their visit rather than at the end, I don't understand why Bob at Xpress (whom I had spoken with several times across the course of the previous 2 months, including 3 times that week) didn't mentioned it any sooner.

On the whole, I would recommend that others avoid this company because they clearly hide the ball when it's in their favor to do so. My moving men themselves were great and easy to work with, but I really cannot condone how these extra charges were handled.

In early February I hired Casey Movers. I got three quotes and they were the lowest. My husband was worried the low quote might mean poor service, but nothing could be further from the truth. Three aspects of the move stood out as positive to me. They showed up on time, something I really appreciated because I worked to be on time knowing it was going to be a long day. They worked exceeding hard, starting at 8:00 am and working tirelessly till after 6:00pm. Finally, they were very delightful, personable people who made me feel they really cared about my things.

Christine, You get a big 5!!  The deliveries went without incident.  Your movers were professional and very fast.  If I ever need a moving company again, you will be my first call. Xpress Movers kept me up tp date from start to finish.  They worked with me on convenient times for me for pick up and delivery.  They picked up in Arnold, PA and had to make two stops for me.  First was in Middlefield, OH and the second was in Lenexa, KS.  The movers were professional and fast.  They set the furniture up exactly were we wanted it and actually moved it once so my wife could see how it would look.  The price was $2,650.00.  The items were wrapped and packaged very well and no damage was done.

I am taking the time to write this well-deserved review for an outstanding company.  Annie is a stellar employee.  From the moment my husband and I met her, we knew we chose the right company to help us move from our condo in Boston to NYC.  We obtained 3 estimates, some which were cheaper than Xpress mover's, but we knew that customer service and the delivery of our items safely to our place in NYC was critical.Annie was exceptional in helping us with a last minute change of address.  Only a few days before the move, we changed where we would be moving. Annie provided all of the appropriate insurance documents and workman's compensation certificates to our building in NYC.  She followed up on this closely and made sure everything was in order for the last minute change.  There was no charge and no hassel.  Just complete understanding of the situation we were in.The movers came right on time on the Friday promised.  At 1pm a very professional crew of 4 guys came to start packing our 2 bedroom 2 bath condo.  They packed everything individually, including the kitchen dishware!  Every glass and plate, completely protected.  Our plants even made it safely.  Toward the end of the afternoon, the company actually sent 3 additional guys to help speed the move along.  Again, this was all included in the flat price for moving they offer from Boston to NYC based on weight.The next day, the crew arrived in NYC to deliver our belongings.  The traffic delayed them slightly, and the driver called ahead to warn us of the delay.  To compensate, to my surprise, they again sent additional movers from the NYC area to help unload and make up for the time lost.  Annie even called us on the day of the move to make sure that everything arrived ok and that we were on time. She is truly about customer satisfaction.This moving company is professional, courteous, and delivers on time.  We never feared that something would be broken, stolen or lost.  We even took a coffee and dinner break at a local restaurant while the movers continued to pack our home.  They didn't stop at all for the close to 7 hrs it took to pack our home in Boston.I have already recommended them to two of my friends and will certainly continue to do so.  If you have the pleasure of having Annie do your estimate, you won't be disappointed.  It takes time to write a glowing review, so beware of the short reviews that are highly critical of Xpress movers.

I hired Xpress movers to move furniture as well as expensive clothing and furs from Michigan to Virginia.  Everything arrived in excellent condition.  Xpress Movers was responsible for packing and delivering my belongings.  I wanted to unpack.  I value my belongings and took pictures of everything to ensure they arrived in the same condition and they absolutely did! The communication with the salesman was excellent.  The company kept me aware of schedules every step of the way.  I was working with a 2 week timeline and they accommodated me with no problem.  The two  man team that was sent to my home was respectful, professional and very polite.  They took great care in packing my belonging.  They wrapped everything!  I saw how securely my items were packed on the truck.  They worked with very little breaks.  The same two gentlemen delivered my items.  They were fast and efficient and when they left, there was no mess.  They set-up all of the furniture that needed it such as bedding, mirrors, etc.  The best part - the only surprise was that the estimate exceeded the actual cost, so I spent less than anticipated!! I highly recommend Xpress Movers from Wilmington, MA.

I’ve just moved from Boston to Chicago and everything went flawless indeed (not exaggerating on this). I am writing this review for all those who are about to relocate and who have already read enough horror stories on movers that the idea of moving makes them sick (at least that was my case) – you could give a chance to Xpress Movers.  Before I scheduled these guys, I read a lot of testimonials and reviews on movers in Boston and I even asked for a recommendation on moving-related forums. Then I called some companies, but Felipe (the salesman) was very helpful and answered all my questions (even the stupid ones). He sent me an all-out estimate with all the costs explained. Then everything went smoothly. Movers came on time, packed and loaded everything professionally (for 5 hours) and a week later all my stuff was in Chicago. Thank you guys :).

I had no idea what I was doing when I moved from DC to NYC.  I googled movers and I read a blog that recommended a few movers including Xpress movers.  I sent a bunch of emails and Xpress Movers was the first to get back to me.  Felipe walked me through all of the furtniture I thought I may move, how many boxes I may have, and gave me an estimate. 
The company worked with me to get the move done on the exact day and time I needed.  The movers arrived early and were so quick and efficient.  They were so kind to me and helped with so many little things I did not expect.   They left my house in DC around 5pm.  By 8am the next morning they were at my apartment in NYC.  WOW! I could not ask for a quicker turn around.
They moved me in to my apartment in NYC quickly and efficiently.  Dale, one of the movers, even helped me figure out how to arrange my furniture.
 
The movers and the whole experience was amazing.  I would highly recommend Xpress Movers! 
 
Oh yea- and they came in $200 UNDER budget :)  That was a nice suprise!

I want to share more around my move with this company to help others with their decision. Before signing with Xpress I went and did my extensive research online - all the usual stuff like reading reviews and ratings online. While I did that I found that movers should have some special licences and stuff, so I dug a little more on that just in case.
I had to make sure I am going with a good company because I didn't want to get ripped off by a random mover as this is a common practice in the industry according to what I read. After all I had all my belongings and memories trusted to strangers.
With Xpress I had no problems whatsoever. They booked my date over the phone after I paid my deposit and I started preparing for the moving day.
It took them nearly 7 hours to load all of my stuff (and I had a lot of stuff) from my place in the DC area. I demanded to have everything packed and wrapped just to make sure it will arrive safely.
Three days later I had my load delivered in Oklahoma on schedule. The three guys unloaded the big furniture pieces and unpacked it from blankets. As I am a demanding person I inspected all the expensive furniture pieces, but until now I didn't find anything of concern.
 I would recommend them if you have a family to move and you want someone to handle it all, especially if you don't have a lot of time time to prepare for the movers. I am too busy at work and I needed someone to handle the whole job.- The Watsons.

I used Xpress Movers to move my 4 bedroom house and my cars interstate. The movers arrived on the specific time I previously arranged on the phone with Annie - the sales representative of the company. As soon as we had the paperwork ready, the movers started packing my stuff. They took a good care of all my fragile furniture, arranged the truck pretty fast. At Rhode Island the movers were pretty fast too. All my furniture was in a pretty good condition. The movers were polite and careful. I also purchased an insurance with them but finally everything delivered in a perfect condition. I have already recommended Xpress Movers to my neighbors. I would use them again. My wife and I were moving on the busiest weekend in Boston, 8/31 to 9/1, from the North End to Charlestown.

Xpress Movers arrived on time, were very accommodating with all of our requests, and were very professional and helpful. They were knowledgable in moving difficult items, as we had two large pieces of bedroom furniture that required hoisting out and down from a third story window.

The items were delivered the following day, again on time and very quickly. Everything arrived in excellent condition except for some very minor damage to two pieces of furniture, which had some nicks, but granted the furniture is very old and somewhat brittle in areas. Overall it was a very pleasurable experience.

Thank you Xpress Movers, I would definitely use this company in a future move.

On rather short notice (4 days including a weekend), Xpress Movers moved the contents of a one-bedroom apartment from Washington, DC to two locations in New York. Although they arrived slightly late, this was because of traffic issues, and they were in regular communication as to their progress. Upon arrival, they were pleasant, efficient, careful, and thorough. When I inquired into the cost of making an extra stop on the delivery side, they got the information for me promptly (it was not outrageous so I paid it). Once they had left with my stuff, they communicated well as to the arrival plan for the next day, and were early on that schedule. Everything arrived in fine shape at both destinations. I could not have been more pleased and would use this company again.
